Staircase

This is a bespoke staircase for a 17th century manor farmhouse in West Oxfordshire. The work we did spans two floors and two landings. Both staircases were curved, one above the other, and self supporting using little more than internal torsion. The staircase and landings was then clad in oak which was finished to give an appropriate feel to suit the property. The spindles were designed specifically to overcome a spacing issue with planning, so each tread had one spindle on the inside and two on the outside of the curve.

The ironwork for this staircase was designed and made specifically for this lovely staircase which is situated in a fabulous barn conversion in Warwickshire. All made with a good old fashioned quality! the finish is roughly polished and waxed within an inch of it's life!

This wrought iron handrail was made to suit this cloister style staircase and was needed to follow perfectly the existing walls and rise of the treads, all of which were uneven and out of square! the handrail fits perfectly and is one of four similar on this property.

Staircase in iron and beech. This staircase was designed and made to fit in a confined space for the entrance to a flat in Nottinghill, London. The staircase has no newls or other uprights to support it and has the appearance of floating. The beech is 10cm thick.

The iron work for this staircase we designed and made to suit the existing woodwork for a rectory in Oxfordshire.

This staircase was cast using reinforced concrete and then dressed with Cotswold limestone for the treads. The spindles are made using two lengths of steel, forged and twisted together to create a secure and beautiful detail section. No weld was used during this process. The handrail sweeps down in a continuous section and tapers off before curling itself around and becoming the bottom newl.

A beautiful staircase designed and made for a private Estate house in the style of Paladia. The staircase was cast in reinforced concrete and dressed using premium quality Turkish limestone. The iron work was designed and made to suit not only the clients vision but to meet all building regulations. The handrail comprises of 8 steel sections and was formed to follow the flow of the run whilst retaining the specific Paladian grandeur.
