This table was made for a house in North London. The wrought iron base has two separate bases that interlock in the middle, with forged leaves, branches, trunks and roots. Solid oak top with inlayed under-bevelled toughened glass.
I designed and made this bed for a fabulous penthouse located right on the sound at Plymouth. The bed was to be the first thing one sees on entering the hallway as it is just behind the opaque glass that makes up the wall of the bedroom! With the evening sun streaming through, the details really stand out and the leaves and weed seem to gently wave as you walk past. The clients were genuinely moved to tears (in a good way!) when they returned home to see this piece after installation and I have been reliably informed that it is also jolly comfortable, not only to sleep in but also to sit up and lean against while still in bed!
The bed was made using forged wrought iron, perforated steel and lovely American tulip wood which, although a hardwood, remains soft to the touch and has a great variety of grains an colours running through it.
This glass top table was designed and made to be the centerpiece of a large and rather lovely house in North London. It is made using wrought iron with forged leaves and fruit to connect the lovely chunky oak legs. The polished and hot wax finish completed the look that the client was after. The whole piece, when placed in the room, appeared to float just above the floor which gave one a slightly unnerving feeling and made the piece appear far lighter and more fragile than it was. It measures 90cm x 120cm and stands 45cm high.
This fire grate was designed and made for a client in Italy who wanted to have good old fashioned fire dogs with a backing plate for big logs with a grate insert when burning smaller cuts or indeed for cooking. They specifically wanted a piece of "good old fashioned quality" as their lovely house is in the stunning appenine mountains of the Abruzzo - well worth a visit!- and it appears that this sort of thing is just not available! I do quite alot of work in Italy. I also made the candlesticks!
these bookshelves were made for a smart house in North London. They are made from wrought iron forged to take on the appearance of wood, including knots! that shelves are in distressed oak all with a natural waxed finish.
This a 5 ft bed made in forged wrought iron with delicate wraps and beautifully aged oak uprights. The oak is aged using our own method that took many months to develop just the right hue. the ironwork is finished using several different undercoats with a fine topcoat and then delicately distressed and finally waxed to give a truely authentic feel of age.
A dining set designed and made in iron and glass for a private house in Warwickshire. We carried out all the upholstery work and the set was sold with the house when the clients moved adding £10,000 to the value of the deal! They have since ordered and had made replacements for their new property.
